This is what I find really off-putting about football

The game isn’t over. But it is. But it’s not because there’s time on the clock. But it is because there’s no possible way to score. If you’re down three runs with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, the announcers don’t say your team has lost. The first baseman doesn’t start shaking hands with the baserunner. The bullpen pitchers don’t put their sunflower seeds in the Hello Kitty backpack. They wait until the game is actually over. It’s just uncomfortable.
