The dude is 21, and he’s got one, huge problem as a pitcher: lefties SLG over .900 against him.

Now, that’s a big, big problem, but it is one specific aspect of his game. If he can make significant progress on that, he’ll make big strides.

A cutter, or a better changeup. Maybe a little tweak to his sinker.

Hell, he could be tipping his pitches against lefties for all we know. But the fact is that he’s been pretty effective against RHs, and that’s a lot more than most 21-year-olds can accomplish.

I don't think his repertoire is the problem

Did I spell that right? Whatever.

The point is that his sinker moves so much that he doesn’t seem to know what to expect from pitch to pitch. Refined command— or perhaps taking some dive out of the pitch— would likely reduce the number of pitches left directly over the middle of the plate at about waist-level.

And that command comes with experience. At least, one hopes. That’s why I don’t mind letting him work his problems out at the major league level against major league hitters.

I think the only reason why they won’t give him the title for a long period of time is because he plays a special kind of a character where he keeps getting knocked back down to a degree, but then he always finds a way to rise to the top by beating the likes of Batista and the Undertaker.

Also, his reign with Chris Jericho was awesome. It’s too bad that it had to end the way it did. A faction could have been on the horizon, perhaps.

I hate to say it, but

if they hadn’t fired Kennedy…Kennedy, they could have put Batista, Edge and KK in a stable and called them the DL’ers… >:)

Seroiusly, though, he does have that phoenix quality about him. Always comes back after taking a hit. He works very hard and works well with just about everyone. He and ’taker have had some phenomenal matches. And Jericho and Edge would have been fun to see together. They are both great workers.

I'd love to see Anderson end the year with a winning record.

No sweep, but 3/4 is great.

A’s have to feel great about this series. Nice start for Cahill, Casilla actually looked good, Everidge reaches base yet again…

All in all, this series was very nice
