Just thought I would come by tonight and say hi since a lot of the people I met at AN day seem to hang out here and avoid my house on stats posts lane.
Ive always respected this part of the community, Im just that guy who decides to write a ridiculous amount prospects or wOBA. Doesn’t mean I don’t like this part. Just means that its like Portland compared to San Francisco, both are cool but only one is home.
audio games from the past that they have for sale.
Two questions:
1. Does the fact I’m seriously considering buying several mean I’m a complete and total loser./weirdo and am destined to die with a houseful of cats?
2. Is it home audio? Will it be Bill?
My parents live in Redmond WA during baseball season. Once, when I was visiting, we went over to their neighbors, and I mentioned to the husband of that family that I was looking forward to seeing a game at the Kingdome some time. He told me that the place was basically a shite-hole and not to get overly excited about it (this was during the off-season). The next summer, I finally got to a Kingdome game, and, yeah, he was right. BTW, the neighbor’s name was Dan McGwire, Mark’s younger brother who was a Seahawks QB at the time.
He has solid across the board tools but no real outstanding one. They DFA Wladimer Balentien so they could call him up. Should be a nice 2.5 WAR player going forward. Started off the year as their #3 best prospect.
I’ve thrown my left SI out many times. MDs say, “Take a bunch of ibuprofen, lie down for a week, and maybe it’ll feel better. Or maybe not.” Chiropractors figure out what’s wrong and actually do something to fix it.
Chiropractic is a nutty disease theory. But as a theory for why your back hurts, I think it has some validity.
They do make your muscles feel better (and they can loop you out, too). But they don’t address the underlying problem if your joints are stuck in a weird position.
I read once that doctors in the early 20th century
infected their patients with malaria to cure them of some otherwise-incurable disease (I can’t remember which right now). The high, malarial fever killed the other disease, and then they’d give the patient quinine to cure the malaria.
Alice Charap for years (they work as cargo and baggage handlers which is a top five most damaging job acording to the dep of labor) and they love her. Shes in the city though.
I was comparing LB’s strategy to the malaria therapy thing: some MDs are probably more comfortable telling their patients who are addicted to pills and booze to go to an AA meeting than they are telling their patients with back pain to see a chiropractor.
Me, I’d see the chiropractor. Or, if you’re hesitant, try to find a doc who’s a DO instead of an MD. Many of them still do adjustments.
AS IF EVERYONE WITHIN A HUNDRED MILES OF THIS ACCURSED STATE WERE INFECTED WITH A COMMUNICABLE DISEASE THAT MADE BLOOD ACTIVELY SHOOT OUT YOUR EYE SOCKETS AND ENCOURAGED LIVING THINGS TO CRAWL UP YOUR RECTUM WHILE YOU SLEPT IN ORDER TO LAY THEIR EGGS.
He, he being my brother, bought into the “American Dream” and bought a business. Now his future and the future of the three little girls who call me uncle seems to hang in the balance of whether I can make the business successful or not.
Pressure pushing down on me
Pressing down on you no man ask for
Under pressure – that burns a building down
Splits a family in two
Puts people on streets
It was a kind of potted sausage product served at breakfast in the kind of little, round plastic container with a pull off foil top that one usually associates with jam or jelly.

gigglingone - August 25, 2009

lynnzgal - August 25, 2009
Hey, I brought a grill

Yes ma'am
Next year, I’ll grill, or die trying.

Don’t let anyone touch your back. Seriously.
lynnzgal - August 25, 2009
FWIW, I totally disagree with this
I’ve thrown my left SI out many times.
Nick - August 25, 2009
Chiropractic is good for what it does.
One reason I liked the guy I saw it that he was just all about what chiropractic does do and didn’t try to push it as any more than that.
iglew - August 25, 2009
If you know someone that can
give you muscle relaxers (skigurl), get some of those.
lynnzgal - August 25, 2009
Those kinds of meds freak me out.
pam5981 - August 25, 2009
They're the best though.
I never take meds, but I would take those.
lynnzgal - August 25, 2009
I've done both
They do make your muscles feel better (and they can loop you out, too). But they don’t address the underlying problem if your joints are stuck in a weird position.
Nick - August 25, 2009
you know what's good?
a handful of oxycodone and a jelly jar full of whiskey.
Leopold Bloom - August 25, 2009
I read once that doctors in the early 20th century
infected their patients with malaria to cure them of some otherwise-incurable disease (I can’t remember which right now). The high, malarial fever killed the other disease, and then they’d give the patient quinine to cure the malaria.
Nick - August 25, 2009
so...you suggest infecting Pam with malaria?
Leopold Bloom - August 25, 2009
Ouch.
I knew some people didn’t like me, but that’s mean.
pam5981 - August 25, 2009
Hey, I suggested some mild synergism.
Nick voted for malaria.
Leopold Bloom - August 25, 2009
Yeah I was referring to Nick.
He’s mean.
pam5981 - August 25, 2009
Pam, I apologize for the malaria thing
I was trying to comment on LB’s drug abuse cure. I’m sorry that I said something that sounded hostile or nasty.
Nick - August 25, 2009
LOL Nicholas.
I’m kidding.
pam5981 - August 25, 2009
Well, I just wanted to be sure, pam!
Nick - August 25, 2009
Like I said, you're adorable.
And not at all mean. I’m just sarcastic.
pam5981 - August 25, 2009
And your neck hurts
BTW, I’ve figured out how to adjust my own hip, back, and neck a little. I stand up, twist, and CRUNCH-CRUNCH-CRUNCH!
I enjoy it. Mrs. Nick, not so much.
Nick - August 25, 2009
I can usually "adjust" myself okay.
But when my neck gets locked up like this, I feel like I’m never going to NOT be in pain again. That’s how I know it’s time for the chiro.
pam5981 - August 25, 2009
Pinched nerve in my neck is what
made me go to the guy I mentioned. He fixed the neck, gave me a general tune-up, and then after three or four appointments I was done.
iglew - August 25, 2009
My mom and her partner have been going to

designatedforassignment - August 25, 2009
ANers are so helpful.
pam5981 - August 25, 2009
For the record
I was comparing LB’s strategy to the malaria therapy thing: some MDs are probably more comfortable telling their patients who are addicted to pills and booze to go to an AA meeting than they are telling their patients with back pain to see a chiropractor.
Me, I’d see the chiropractor. Or, if you’re hesitant, try to find a doc who’s a DO instead of an MD. Many of them still do adjustments.
Nick - August 25, 2009
thanks for clarifying.
you’re adorable.
i’m going to the chiro.
ow, my neck.
pam5981 - August 25, 2009

Nick - August 25, 2009

BERRYJO - August 25, 2009
If they work for you, they work for you.
I just don’t like how they make me feel.
pam5981 - August 25, 2009

b/c of how loopy I got. BUT I will say at the beginning it really helped.

Me too.
