Only blemish on the day is the, "Oh did we forget to mention that we farmed you out to Sacto, Aaron? Yeah, sorry about that. Why are you still here again?"
Don't like to give out personal information online
And your question’s not relevant.
The airport is part of the incorporated city of Santa Rosa. The airport is two miles from the river. The river is two miles from the city of Santa Rosa.
Ignoring your mistaken assumption about my "experience"...
(I live in the North Bay. As I pointed out, it’s not relevant because even if I lived in New Jersey I could still read a map,) your argument was faulty from the beginning. First, you made the argument about Santa Rosa, not the Russian River Brewery. Secondly, the premise was silly. Where do you think Santa Rosa’s water comes from, Brett Tomko’s magical pixies?
As for why you want to yell, I take no responsibility for your mental state.
to say that there’s two miles between where Santa Rosa’s incorporated and the Russian River, there is considerably difference between what is considered Santa Rosa and what’s incorporated. The airport is literally seven miles from downtown. It’s a good three to four miles from even the “suburbs” of Santa Rosa.
An indefinite pronoun, true, but you clearly understood I was talking about the River and not the Brewery or Brett Tomko’s talent. By “town”, I meant Santa Rosa, which you also seemed to clearly understand.
Since I define a “town” as encompassing the whole of the town and not just the downtown area, my statement that the Russian River was “two miles outside of town” was correct. If you wish to redefine the word “town”, feel free to attempt to do so.
It took me half the night, but I realized my problem here!
Nate and Nick are two different people, and I’ve not realized this! I’ve been thinking the guy I’ve been friendly with for a while now was going all Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on me. I’m so sorry, Nate. I wasn’t coming at you straight because I thought you were someone entirely different, who in turn I thought was coming at me sideways. Please forgive. I will not make that mistake again. Sorry if I got you riled up.
In 1997, Russian River Brewing Company (RRBC) was founded by Korbel Champagne Cellars in Guerneville , California . Vinnie Cilurzo was hired as the Brewmaster. At the Great American Beer Festival in 1999, RRBC and Vinnie were awarded “Small Brewing Company of the Year” and “Small Brewing Company Brewmaster of the Year”. In 2002, Korbel decided to leave the beer business and sold the brewery to Vinnie and his wife, Natalie. Now located in Santa Rosa , California
Pliny the Elder was a Roman naturalist, scholar, historian, traveler, officer, and writer. Although not considered his most important work, Pliny and his contemporaries created the botanical name for hops, “Lupus salictarius”, meaning wolf among scrubs." Hops at that time grew wild among willows, much like a wolf in the forest. Later the current botanical name, Humulus lupulus, was adopted. Pliny died in 79 AD while observing the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. He was immortalized by his nephew, Pliny the Younger, who continued his uncle’s legacy by documenting much of what he observed during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
(PtE is actually pretty balanced for a Double IPA. It’s plenty hoppy, but it’s not an out-and-out hop bomb like Lagunitas’ Hop Stoopid or Stone’s Ruination)

Leopold Bloom - August 17, 2009

Nate - August 17, 2009
some distance betwixt the two.
If not in landscape, then definitely in ideals.
Leopold Bloom - August 17, 2009
It's like two miles outside of town
Nate - August 17, 2009
Santa Rosa to Guerneville?
Leopold Bloom - August 17, 2009
The river.
Nate - August 17, 2009
I think it's a little further than that.
At least 5-10 miles…
Leopold Bloom - August 17, 2009
The Charles M. Schulz
Sonoma County Airport is technically a part of the City of Santa Rosa.
Take a look at a map to see the distance between the northwest corner of the airport and the nearest part of the main Russian River.
Nate - August 17, 2009
The Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport is about ten miles north of downtown.
Leopold Bloom - August 17, 2009
So?
Does the city limits of Oakland stop when you get more than a mile from Lake Merritt or is the Coliseum a part of Oakland?
Nate - August 17, 2009
City of Oakland's not the City of Santa Rosa.
Leopold Bloom - August 17, 2009
So?
Nate - August 17, 2009
Nate, where do you live?
Leopold Bloom - August 17, 2009
Don't like to give out personal information online
And your question’s not relevant.
The airport is part of the incorporated city of Santa Rosa. The airport is two miles from the river. The river is two miles from the city of Santa Rosa.
Nate - August 17, 2009
Well, I lived in Sonoma County for 15 years,
up to and including 2006. Putting The Russian River Brewery in Santa Rosa, in downtown Santa Rosa, on 4th St., where it is, is not exactly accurate.
Leopold Bloom - August 17, 2009
At any point did I say
that the river and the brewery were two miles apart?
Nate - August 17, 2009
jesus christ.
see below.
Leopold Bloom - August 17, 2009
and I think you're channeling PT.
Leopold Bloom - August 17, 2009
If I were channeling PT I'd probably

Nate - August 17, 2009
who's more the moron here?!
Leopold Bloom - August 17, 2009
and I wasn't even talking to you when I first started.
jesus fucking christ.
Leopold Bloom - August 17, 2009
Let's go back to the you not talking to me thing.
It worked better.
Nate - August 17, 2009
I don't understand why you want to continue an argument based on something that you have no experience with.
why would you continue to argue about something essentially meaningless to you to the point where I want to yell?
Leopold Bloom - August 17, 2009
Ignoring your mistaken assumption about my "experience"...
(I live in the North Bay. As I pointed out, it’s not relevant because even if I lived in New Jersey I could still read a map,) your argument was faulty from the beginning. First, you made the argument about Santa Rosa, not the Russian River Brewery. Secondly, the premise was silly. Where do you think Santa Rosa’s water comes from, Brett Tomko’s magical pixies?
As for why you want to yell, I take no responsibility for your mental state.
Nate - August 17, 2009
Please don't go to bed mad.
LoneStranger - August 17, 2009
What I said:
“Some distance betwix the two. If not in landscape, then definitely in ideals.”
I was talking about Santa Rosa and the Russian River Brewery, which is located in Santa Rosa.
Leopold Bloom - August 17, 2009
and while it may be technically correct
to say that there’s two miles between where Santa Rosa’s incorporated and the Russian River, there is considerably difference between what is considered Santa Rosa and what’s incorporated. The airport is literally seven miles from downtown. It’s a good three to four miles from even the “suburbs” of Santa Rosa.
Leopold Bloom - August 17, 2009
And I said
“It’s like two miles outside of town”.
Preferably somewhere else.
Nate - August 17, 2009
In any case, look at the post below this one,
if you feel the need to indulge in this pedantry any further. The brewery’s original location was Guerneville. I’m done. Enjoy your last word.
Nate - August 17, 2009
what a dickish way to end.
Leopold Bloom - August 17, 2009
I apologize, Nate.
No need to get so heated. You’re right. Two miles between them.
