Well, I lived in Sonoma County for 15 years,

up to and including 2006. Putting The Russian River Brewery in Santa Rosa, in downtown Santa Rosa, on 4th St., where it is, is not exactly accurate.

(I live in the North Bay. As I pointed out, it’s not relevant because even if I lived in New Jersey I could still read a map,) your argument was faulty from the beginning. First, you made the argument about Santa Rosa, not the Russian River Brewery. Secondly, the premise was silly. Where do you think Santa Rosa’s water comes from, Brett Tomko’s magical pixies?

and while it may be technically correct

to say that there’s two miles between where Santa Rosa’s incorporated and the Russian River, there is considerably difference between what is considered Santa Rosa and what’s incorporated. The airport is literally seven miles from downtown. It’s a good three to four miles from even the “suburbs” of Santa Rosa.

An indefinite pronoun, true, but you clearly understood I was talking about the River and not the Brewery or Brett Tomko’s talent. By “town”, I meant Santa Rosa, which you also seemed to clearly understand.

Since I define a “town” as encompassing the whole of the town and not just the downtown area, my statement that the Russian River was “two miles outside of town” was correct. If you wish to redefine the word “town”, feel free to attempt to do so.

Preferably somewhere else.

In 1997, Russian River Brewing Company (RRBC) was founded by Korbel Champagne Cellars in Guerneville , California . Vinnie Cilurzo was hired as the Brewmaster. At the Great American Beer Festival in 1999, RRBC and Vinnie were awarded “Small Brewing Company of the Year” and “Small Brewing Company Brewmaster of the Year”. In 2002, Korbel decided to leave the beer business and sold the brewery to Vinnie and his wife, Natalie. Now located in Santa Rosa , California

(PtE is actually pretty balanced for a Double IPA. It’s plenty hoppy, but it’s not an out-and-out hop bomb like Lagunitas’ Hop Stoopid or Stone’s Ruination)
