The story of the night thus far is the A's going scoreless in the first inning, even with Cabrera starting things off with a base hit for the fourth straight game.
My wife and I lived in an apartment below some tweakers in the 1990s
It’s the only time I’ve ever called the cops on someone. They were having a fight about whether she’d lost their stash, and I though he was going to kill her.
And the cops couldn't have been less interested in intervening
I really wished we could have called a social worker instead of cops, but it was probably the 10th time in a few months we’d said, “Is someone really going to get hurt up there?” We kind of figured that we’d regret it more if we decided not to call and he threw her out of the window or something.
They always aired their grievances outside so I wondered what kind of hell was going on in the house. Not a good thing to witness so I completely understand.
This was also a few weeks after these two Einsteins
had failed to install a window A/C properly, which we found out about when it suddenly fell out of their window….onto the ramp our cats used to go in and out of our 1st floor window.
roomy.

1/4 oz Benedictine
dash Peychaud’s Bitters
dash Angostura BItters
stirred with ice and strained into an old-fashioned glass with fresh ice

GreenNGoldSooner - June 8, 2009
What exactly is in Peychaud's bitters?
Nick - June 8, 2009
It's a N.O. ingredient
Though bitter, not sweet, it tastes a bit like root beer, a bit like pastis
It’s also bright red.
Not very expensive, but a bit hard to find (at least in Oklahoma).
But a little goes a long way.
It’s also a key ingredient in such other N.O. cocktails as the Sazerac and La Louisiane
GreenNGoldSooner - June 8, 2009

because that looks a lot like an Angostura Bitters label (except it fits the bottle it’s glued to).

GreenNGoldSooner - June 8, 2009

Hulkamania is running wild… what’s bad about that?
jeffro - June 8, 2009

ohtobe21likehuston - June 8, 2009
When you win 20 in the show...
you can have mold on your shower sandals and the press will think your colorful
nothinlikethetown - June 8, 2009
Fair enough
I stand corrected.
GreenNGoldSooner - June 8, 2009
He's hoping opposing pitchers
have trouble controlling their fits of laughter.
IowaA'sFan - June 8, 2009

Leopold Bloom - June 8, 2009
LOB's are so awesome!
Socalfan21 - June 8, 2009

ZigFan31 - June 8, 2009
question from last inning
what did Rajai do this time
Cutthemullet - June 8, 2009
He tried to go 2nd to 3rd on what was essentially an infield pop up.
He barely made it back to 2nd.
VORP is too nerdy - June 8, 2009
basically what rajai does
robbo650 - June 8, 2009
Yeah, he had to slide.
Rated-R Superstar - June 8, 2009
Almost got doubled off 2nd base on a pop fly to LF
doctorK - June 8, 2009
he wandered pretty far off second on a shallow pop to left.
had to hustle and dive back
jakebmill - June 8, 2009
ah, ok, sounds about right
Cutthemullet - June 8, 2009

Cutthemullet - June 8, 2009

Cutthemullet - June 8, 2009
This game looks like a tittles duel...
I mean a pitchers cleavage.
Huh?
BleedGreen - June 8, 2009
I was too distracted there
BleedGreen - June 8, 2009
Gulp
worldblee - June 8, 2009
Please do not give up a run
or walk on in.
This has a bad feel about it
Trainman - June 8, 2009
Come on Outman, settle down...
gigglingone - June 8, 2009
Wrong time to lose it

IowaA'sFan - June 8, 2009
Great
Trainman - June 8, 2009
Are you serious? Four straight runners have reached with two outs?
Rated-R Superstar - June 8, 2009
This is like what happened to the O's
I like it much less when it happens to us.
worldblee - June 8, 2009
Sauce(Goose) ≠ Sauce(Gander)
GreenNGoldSooner - June 8, 2009
c'mon Josh
end this now
jakebmill - June 8, 2009
So he did.
alox - June 8, 2009
not good
he was doing pretty well in this game too
jakebmill - June 8, 2009
Eh,
it was a good pitch. Sometimes the other team does things right. That walk pisses me off.
alox - June 8, 2009

VORP is too nerdy - June 8, 2009

No excuse for this many runners reaching
Trainman - June 8, 2009
These guys were hitting like.. .230, .185, .185
hit, walk, hit.
VORP is too nerdy - June 8, 2009
Much like how our rallies came about in this win streak.
OldhamA - June 8, 2009
robbo650 - June 8, 2009
My sentiments exactly.
VORP is too nerdy - June 8, 2009
Fuuck.
Blicks - June 8, 2009
Bad....but we should be able to score more than three runs in a game
GreenNGoldSooner - June 8, 2009
Against Swarzak????????
Nico - June 8, 2009
Hope Spring Eternal
Especially after he opens an inning with six straight balls.
You’re gonna love his balls!
GreenNGoldSooner - June 8, 2009
We have 5 hits in 12 innings
and have not scored in 11 innings.
I think it’s time to break that trend
Trainman - June 8, 2009
three runs.
we can do this.
c’mon guys!
Leopold Bloom - June 8, 2009
Let's go Oak-land!!!
Blicks - June 8, 2009

DDroney - June 8, 2009
Viva Canada!
Blicks - June 8, 2009
Texas is Toast
Lucid Creations - June 8, 2009
there is absolutely no excuse for walking carlos gomez with the bases empty
let alone with the bases loaded
Cutthemullet - June 8, 2009
Ironically, the inning started with Mauer and Morneau getting out
Nico - June 8, 2009
look at it this way
if tolbert can do it, hannahan can too
Cutthemullet - June 8, 2009
cuddyer, harris, young, gomez, tolbert, casilla
getting points off outman.
I’m guessing no one’s fantasy team was hurt by this.
WhiteElephantGuy - June 8, 2009
I like Outman talking to his glove ala Braden.
ZigFan31 - June 8, 2009
NEW THREAD
HERE
67MARQUEZ - June 8, 2009
Texas just lost.
Walking Gomez was a killer. You got to let that guy beat you. A’s are still going to win tonight.
Coach Cleats - June 8, 2009
I feel bad for Outman
Our offense blows tonight…
