AN Day At Dodger Stadium!

Despite the fact that 35 of us somehow missed taking a picture of our sign, Athletics Nation was featured on the marquee. We were probably either watching the tense, exciting game, or staring at the bullpen (right next to us), or trying to find ways to leave the stadium before the A's made Giambi and Crosby's homeruns moot points.

But if you want to see some ANers, look no further! I'll let people identify themselves, if they feel so inclined!

Hey, who let the guy with the Kobe Bryant jersey get in the shot?

He was related to someone :-)
I was up in Sec 150 Row A

Totally saw you dudes. Tough game, and people at Dodger Stadium have the attention span of Kindergartners.

You Rang?

I Kan Haz AN?

AWESOME!
I just realized that from this picture you can prove

that BBG was indeed very focused on the game to notice the marquee.

ooh it came out excellent!

That is AWESOME!
Blez, just wondering

when you started AN did you ever think that the name of the internet group you started would be featured on the same marquee that once displayed the box score of Sandy Koufax’s (the greatest pitcher to ever pitch) perfect game in 1965? I was thinking about that, that night and it was too cool to fathom.

Then again I kept looking at the mound and trying to picture Koufax on the mound the whole night. Im a sucker like that.

I loved the Dodgers as a kid.

My youngest daughter named her rescue dog Sandy Koufax…because I have always admired him so much. I have never been to Dodger Stadium and these pics make me sorry for that.

great pics :)

Man...great seats.

Now I know where to sit if I ever make it down there.

Huh? No, those seats suck.

For best view/price, I recommend one of the middle decks down one of the lines. Unlike the Oakland Coliseum, when you sit down the line you feel like you are right on top of the action.

Great pics, bbg!

For some reason, I’m stuck on the three generations of A’s fans (cough*plug*cough). ;-)

Look forward to the San Diego shoot!

wow.....

You rank #1,290,694 in Books on amazon.com! Wahoo!!!

Uh oh though….

Only 5 left in stock—order soon (more on the way).

I'm #1(290,694)! Celebrate!

Hmm, 5 left in stock. My home office begs to differ.

Speaking of the 2 generations pic...

Who’s the fella on the right rocking the moustache-’89 WS t-shirt combo? Whoever it is, kudos for style points to this long-standing Athletics fan?

[Edit: 3 Generations]

My bad.

It's just good to see

Even in the pit that is Southern California, there are still parents making the effort to raise their kids right. (jk about the pit part)

Cool.

Way to represent.

Im confused

Not a single beer in one of the pics? What is AN becoming?

I wasn't there, but man,

the concession lines at Dodger Stadium are probably the worst in baseball. Their vendor (Aramark, I think) purposely understaffs the concessions to save a few bucks. I once waited for 4 innings to get a dog and a beer. AND there is no tailgating, so it’s best to resort to the flask method.

Nice pics

BBG. I wish I could’ve been there, but my wife’s brother was graduating from high school and I was watching my daughter. But I can guarantee I will be there at the next Angels game.

You know, as a whole,

AN chicks are hot.

And the fact they love the A’s make them even hotter.

I wish I had gone on Wednesday

I went Thursday (yesterday) and sat in the exact same section you all did. I also wish I had gone Wednesday because I would have gotten a little support. The Dodger Fans were… well… I don’t think I have words strong enough to describe how I felt about them. They booed each and every one of our pitchers as they came out of the bull pen. (and then they were pissed when they wouldn’t give them balls! Gah!) They threw FOOD at some A’s fans two sections over, and some woman Booed ME in the bathroom AFTER the game!!! I was like, you WON, what the hell is your problem. It was insane.

I am glad I went though, now I can say I have been to Dodger Stadium, I ate the (nasty, way over hyped) Dodger Dogs, and I can now move on with life and never go again! Good thing I am going to PetCo on Saturday to wash the Dodger stench off me!

That's my daughter and I

in the next to last picture.
