I like that they're 7-3 in the past 10 games

and I have a feeling that 7-game streak may have been the high point for this team this year…

it just game me false hope. If they wanted to go 7-3, I would’ve preferred them to win 2, lose 1, win 1, lose 1, win 2, lose 1… something more like that. That way, it’s less noticable that they played a great stretch, and I wouldn’t have rejuvinated my hopes for this season.

Games like this make me think the team is still in the race.

They got just enough pitching, a few clutch hits, played some fundamental 9th inning ball, and got contributions from the little guys. I love wins like this.

and with the FAIL-spiral of Lackey and Santana

and a (hopefully) inevitable summer wilt by the Rangers, we might have a chance if we can win 85-88 games.
