Skaalen played professionally for three seasons in the Baltimore Orioles organization and batted .246 with 15 home runs and drove in 123 runs in 251 games.
I mean, what if the reason they couldn’t hit well wasn’t because of their eye, or their swing, or their approach, but just because they weren’t very strong?
In fact, those who have made the most of limited physical talent would seem to be the ideal coaches, if you ask me.
You will need a rabbits foot, only drink half your beer with your left hand, sit with your legs crossed and not throw away your lucky bubble gum for days if you you win a few hands.

mikev - May 8, 2009
isn't "K-hill" tailor-made for Cahill?
Kallus - May 8, 2009
Obviously
mikev - May 8, 2009
there is K Hill
javaball - May 8, 2009
I thought he was Pterodactyl.
ElQuesoCapitan - May 8, 2009
but there is no K in Cahill
Dammit!
ohtobe21likehuston - May 8, 2009
There is no K in Rodriguez but the slegna made it work.
Erasr - May 8, 2009
Ugh
I appreciate your point but let’s not copy those asshats or, more importantly, that particular asshat.
ohtobe21likehuston - May 8, 2009
There's an F in Fransisco though.
Failrod?
ElQuesoCapitan - May 8, 2009
Bay-K?
cuppingmaster - May 8, 2009
Bayk, like what you do to a cake?
GoA's - May 8, 2009
that sounds a bit like bakery
javaball - May 8, 2009
I guess that presents a problem when he faces Jason Bay
cuppingmaster - May 8, 2009
How about GODley
Trainman - May 8, 2009
Bail-out is great.
Erasr - May 8, 2009
It appears the country will be doing this for a while
so it’s pretty catchy and should stick.
ohtobe21likehuston - May 8, 2009
Not a good nickname but to me he is....
Save the Daily Bailey
Boozhound - May 8, 2009
That's like Everyday Eddie.
Bad bad bad.
ElQuesoCapitan - May 8, 2009
Everyday's an apt name for Baily
GoA's - May 8, 2009
You mean daily bread for the A's
javaball - May 8, 2009
please no church references

cuppingmaster - May 8, 2009
Hard to avoid when we're talking about saving
GoA's - May 8, 2009
catholic, not born-again
LOL
cuppingmaster - May 8, 2009
12 years for me
Still dislike the way that Sr. Lucille treated me years ago. Mean, mean woman.
ohtobe21likehuston - May 8, 2009
Lyrical
Though when I first read that it sounded like you were trying to save print media.
GoA's - May 8, 2009
postgame interview with Bailey on GDA
I wish he wouldn’t take advice from Springer, though
cuppingmaster - May 8, 2009
True
Wouldn’t want him going on to have a 17 year MLB career or anything
mikev - May 8, 2009
only if they're all with us :)
cuppingmaster - May 8, 2009
pretty good one too
ohtobe21likehuston - May 8, 2009
With Huston Street in Colorado
Who is the new “Sir Fucks-it-Up”??
I voted Springer last weekend, but he did well tonight…sorta…
One won lost won - May 8, 2009

javaball - May 8, 2009
That was mean
javaball - May 8, 2009
Daily Baily vs. Bail-Out
Erasr - May 8, 2009

mikev - May 8, 2009
Nice!
lynnzgal - May 8, 2009
Thanks!
It took forever to come up with.
mikev - May 8, 2009
Are you sure we can't change the spelling to Andruw?
You know? Spice it up a bit.
ohtobe21likehuston - May 8, 2009
Spicing it up,
its what we do.
lynnzgal - May 8, 2009
According to random internet seach
Bail-Out wants to drop AN
GoA's - May 8, 2009

ohtobe21likehuston - May 8, 2009

The Drewman Show
Erasr - May 8, 2009
FIRE FP NOW!
Why must FP Santangelo plague the Comcast airways. Bad jokes, not a whole lotta insight, and he wasn’t even good in the bigs.
GoA's - May 8, 2009
Oh come on. He was every bit as good as Neiffi Perez.
ohtobe21likehuston - May 8, 2009
Perez had twicd as long a career
Played some full seasons, even picked up a Gold Glove.
GoA's - May 8, 2009
OMG they're playing Ryan's batting music in the clubhouse
Maybe you get to pick the clubhouse music if you get the big hit? Awwww!
schmifty - May 8, 2009
Now we know the real reason Holiday is ever motivated to get a hit.
Erasr - May 8, 2009
RECAP UP!!!!
Linky link link
baseballgirl - May 8, 2009
Oh Ryan you're a boring interview
