See, I thought I had factored in all the "ifs" into my calculus.
I didn’t expect big contributions from Chavez and Nomar. I assumed a regression for Sweeney and I expected Cahill, Anderson and Buck to be about average.
But I don’t think anyone expected Giambi, Holliday, and Cabrera to slump this badly. I thought that even if our ifs went wrong, we would still be okay. I guess I just didn’t realize the extent of our ifs.
