The A’s have just announced that rookie right-hander Clayton Mortensen was arrested last night for suspected driving under the influence and spent the night in jail in Santa Clara County.
Forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere (I’ve been out of town and away from a computer for a week) but what happens in terms of the June 2010 draft if the A’s lose today and the Padres lose creating a three-way tie with Toronto?
I was already writing my post below when you posted. What I was able to find was in case of tie the previous year’s records are used as tie breaker. Toronto had a better record than the A’s in 2008, while Padres had a worst record. So Padres, A’s, Blue Jays would be the order is a three way tie.
Still sucks to end the season with a week of losing.
