Let's Go A's
Siddown, bitch
Gaudin intimidates!
then K's him
Nothin' like some Cajun chin music...

then a sizzlin’ fastball at the knees!

radio says Castillo might be peeking

at the signs from Suzuki, or Suzuki’s set up outside.

So Gaudin buzzed him.

If you’re peeking, duck.

Peking duck?
yes, I was attempting to work that in..

somehow

I think more pitchers should do that more

dont you? No way in a million years would some of these hitters be hitting they way they have the last 10 yrs if guys Like Nolan Ryan, Bob Gibson amongst others were still pitching.

Rafael Palmiero

I think, said he wouldn’t have hit what he did, if he didn’t have the ability to peek and not get caught.

sit down and ....sit down
New thread mojo worko

even if it was just one outo

SF's Kuiper makes a smartass comment about the strikezone.

That pitch looked pretty damn good to me.

yeah, so if he doesn't like it

how does he feel about an “electronic strike zone”??

Not like it matters

The Giants, let’s face it, can’t hit.

Good execution there Gaudin
Does he stay in for the 8th?
Aw!

Cute little kids on the field.

im suprised to see KC is doing so wel against Arizona

if they can beat them so can we

That kind of reasoning never holds up well for us.
Especially

when we have to face Webb/Haren

well its all i need for hope
Yabu has never understood cheese.
just went on a pistachio binge

one after another. I need someone to ring a cow bell to get me to stop.

Korach:

Yabu “toiled” for the A’s a few years back. Very apt description my man!

Eric!

Good day.

he makes the dp from third looks so smooth and easy too.

Nothing against hannahan but chavy just does it so well.

Did Durham even try to get that?
Are you listening re: Esurance sign?
Something about the signs behind home plate

White areas of the sign made him lose the ball

Oh, that's just a lame excuse

he had to use so he didn’t look like an asshat.

I meant to add a

“waaaaah” from Durham in that first reply

Mark Ellis would have had that ball.

Hell, even blindfolded!

it was impossible...

..the white e-surance sign thats been there since they’re sponsored ATT park obstructed his vision

SRSLY??

this park is f’d…sprinklers, blinding signage, what’s next

Locusts.
Meteors
Black hole

I mean, let’s go all the way

white esurance sign behind home plate

oh so that’s why durham is an absolutely terrible defensive second baseman..

NEW SIG
and a QOTM candidate
SF announcers are so f'n dumb. "They should make the background

for Crosby white to even it out.” It’s your fucking park so shut the fuck up or change your signs.

Umm SOMEONE didn't read the no-swearing thread...
STFU
I thought you were gonna jump all over me on that one -

like who the hell am I to talk?!?

No more Mr. Nice Guy! I'm gonna rip you to shreds next time

I see you in Oakland.

maybe because it f'ing disappeared!
It was deleted too quickly for

the part timers to read.

SRsly. What the fuck are you even talking about?
Ell Oh Ell

Something tells me the Gnats’ aren’t exactly with it regarding how to set up their ballpark.

not even

To me, that is an excuse, like if a ball pops out of my glove, I’ll blame it on my glove

They did manage to FORGET to build a bullpen....

classic

hey this is nowhere near as bad as when they designed and built a $300+ million ballpark with NO BULLPEN.

Maybe they could buy a better fielding second baseman

with that ad revenue

why can't we swear?

sometimes saying fuck feels nice

hahaha

just saying? (sorry….R rated over here)

it works on two levels
.......

...thats what she said

Man

THAT’S a GREAT sig line.

LMAO

reminded me of this hilarious video WARNING: HEAVY PROFANITY!!

Ralph Kiner was still the best bad announcer

and today is appropriate to post one of his best gaffes…

“I’ve just been handed a note, reminding me that today is Father’s Day.”

“So, for all you fathers out there…... Happy Birthday!!!”

FP on the BABY getting the foul:

“I wonder if the little guy caught it.”

He can’t even hold his head up yet!

I don't remember him being this dumb.
Durham struck out

the sky was so blue he couldn’t see the ball

had to be that the grass was too green
This just in:

Ray Durham is color blind

The ball was too spherical.
Ah. Greg Papa on the tele. I sure miss those days of when he

was an A’s announcer.

+1

Papa had a knack that agreed with me.

I think Steve Schott couldn’t stand him.

He is 10x better than Kuiper
BOO THESE GIANTS
Come on damn it!
Giants Announcers

I kinda feel sorry for them. What do they have to talk about( a couple of young pitchers)? Their team is going to suck for 3 years at the very least. Plus they are in a division with a ton of young talent on the other teams. Im glad Im and A’s fan.

they just make fun of people in the stadium and draw on them
Wasnt Santegelo

or what ever his name is, on the A’s at one time. I thought he was.

"giants down 7-1... look, a baby!"
Put Ziggy in for the DP
Sure would have been nice to have our CLOSER today

instead of pitching him on consecutive nights for no reason.

Please.

Like Geren cares if Huston isn’t available.

Geren is the devil in a blue dress.
A DP would be very nice
C'mon Bowker, can I get a DP
Man, I sure picked a good time to have to leave a game thread

Go A’s!!!

Guess I picked the wrong week....

....to stop sniffing glue!

oh foulke
Since we needed a ground ball wouldnt

Ziggy been a better choice here?

thats what i was saying a few posts up
i trust ziggy more than gaudin embree and foulke combined
that's f'ing ridiculous...
if you say so
for crying out loud
Frustration!!!!
Why does Geren

always put in Foulke and/or Embree??? I guess he likes to relate to people closer to his age .

also ahead of Brown and Ziegler
I haven't mentioned it lately...

I hate NL ball.

I'll take the out... but want another one real soon.
there you go
Foulke pitched 3 days in a row
In fairness to Foulke,

he didn’t do anything wrong. But Molina with the bases loaded and one out is what Ziggy was BUILT for.

i know i was pulling my hair out
survived a mild heart attack there
With your username you should expect a few
hahaha

i hope i quit when i was young enough to avoid serious dammage

And an attack of arthritis and gout
A few runs would not be a bad thing here
Is Amy Gutierrez enjoying HD?
save situation if we don't score, but at least we have street well rested for the ninth

< / sarcasm >

I would be really nervous if the Angels had the bases loaded

but the Giants are just not good with RISP

Any idea why Buck hasn't played for Sacto yet?
He's probably using some "pissed off" vacation days.
"giants still losing... look another baby!"
I know whats up with the baby thing?

Ok we get it, people in the Bay Area like to do it.

i got to move out there
You dont have enough kids yet Crack?
no but i heard there was plenty of btches

out there to put babies into

the crack out here is pretty good
i dont smoke crack anymore

just weed

I was out there last year and couldn't agree more.

That was actually the best and cheapest crack I’ve ever purchased. The packaging was the most impressive thing. Pride went into every vial.

hahaha

too fucking funny

I didnt even know it came in a vial

You learn something new here everyday.

Are you going back this year?
I have to because I'm out of crack.

Not looking good for AN Day but will be making a trek at some point.

I'm heading to Springfield, MO

next week to watch the Texas League AS Game. I want to go back to the Bay Area, but it’s expensive!

Yep. Getting there and back was expensive.

Buying gear was the thing that really killed my budget. I couldn’t get enough stuff!!

When is the AS game?

June 25

Tickets were $20. That shit is cheap!

Wait.

The MLB AS Game? July 15, I think.

I meant Texas League :-)
theres a lot of love in those little rocks
Last question to FP.

“Who handled the discipline in your house?”

“I would say… Mom.”

It’s Emmy Award winning television.

she was the enforcer
Ooooooh, nice Zooks.
Street warming up...

..if he comes in for the 9th….how do you think he’ll do?

give us a mild heart attack, but he gets the save
****ing geren...
how...not who
heh

well who does andrew brown have to ** to get into a ballgame?

What'd I say last night about needing Street today?
i think it was something along the lines of

we shouldn’t pitch street tonight we might need him tommorow

Regardless of how it ends...this should not be happening.

He is not some sort of Iron Man who is never injured. Why increase the odds of injury?

I hope Geren learn to protect Street before Street gets injured
Great!

That was one quick out!

hurry up and strike out castillo i want to watch tiger woods!

yikes, that was a pretty bad pitch on the K
it was a cement mixer...
That is a hilarious description

It certainly was one.

Thank God the Giants ar so bad at hitting because Street had a few fastballs tail into the hitters zone as well.

Good to get a sweep.

Gotta beat Webb. Haren is very hittable IMO.

Go A’s

Get your brooms out
At least Street pitched well

SWEEP

good work fellows.

now out for a jog and back to view angels and braves on espn

Pathetic. Why do people work out?
required by the design

refined over two million years of adaptation.
Running daily was big big big for eons.

Crack is good. Sweeps are GRRRRREAT!!
sprinklers, signs and street

sweeeeeeep

That was nice

and easy. But it’s the Giants, so honestly, a sweep was expected.

I'll take it. They are still a Major League team according to everything I've read.
I think the A's

play them at the end of the month correct?

Correct

I expect another sweep, especially if we don’t face Timmy.

On to watch Tiger win the US Open. I'm going to root for Lee Westwood

to push a playoff with Tiger, the American, winning in dramatic fashion.

Pretty crazy

I went out to change oil after the 8th and Tiger was still one down, come back and he’s up. After that awful start, I couldn’t believe it.

That course is ridiculous. I'm amazed that anyone is under par.
Tiger is just incredible to watch.

I’ve only had it on for 20 minutes or so, but he’s hit a couple fantasic shots. Could’ve been -3 right now but he came up inches short on a long putt. Good stuff.

Can you, or anyone, figure out

why people would root against Tiger? He’s as down to Earth as it comes, doesn’t act arrogant, and always compliments his fellow players. Any theories?

To keep things compelling. I root for everyone else to keep it close

with no real rooting interest in who wins. Do you like watching movies when you already know the ending?

What movies aren't predictable?

Horror flicks: Bad guy dies at the end, the girl gets away. Comedy flick: you’ll laugh and the good guys will beat the bad guys.

but a good movie keeps you "interested" throughout.

That is what I want out of a golf tourney…

It is innately American to go with the guy

who’s not on top.
Lotta Yankee hate developed in the 1950s, as the Yankees won the World Series in 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1956, 1958, 1961, 1962 (against Giants for the last one).

People see Tiger go unstoppable, and they think, “Hey, he’s won a bunch…let someone else do it.”

That says a lot about our country and its competitiveness.

I am personally wanting Rocco Mediate to pull out the win.

Obviously I'd push for the Englishman to win if I recognised Golf as a sport.
Understood. Especially THIS type of goff?
Geren's official reason for using Street yesterday:

He was going to go to Brown if the A’s got it up to a five-run lead. Which I think is sufficiently lame to warrant criticism. You can’t trust Brown or Ziggy with a four-run lead against a weak offense? C’mon.

Geren's bullpen usage leaves a lot to be desired.

But at least it’s not Macha bringing in Rincon every damn day to give up runs.

+1000

This is his glaring weakness IMO

I find his bullpen use usually pretty solid,

but I’m not going to defend him on this particular decision or reasoning.

yeah that makes sense because those two have allowed 6 runs…

....in 30 innings.

hi folks ...

missed the game, caught the summary (woot!) ... and now CSN is televizing the KNBR “post game wrap” (or whatever it’s called). anybody else watching this? it’s sad … yet strangely compelling … basicall it’s four dudes killing their buzzes by whining about their team.

I heart Papa and BIP saying good things about the A's. Of course they are bellied

up to the bar while reporting. Jaymee Sire was also interviewing Chavy at one point so I thought it was “fair and balanced” when I watched.

I do heart Papa but meant "heard"
ha!

well, I wasn’t expecting fair & balanced…it IS the giants telecast, I’m okay with that. I’m laughing at the format. I occasionally listen to KNBR in the car, but it’s pretty bad.
