Hell yes it is too early to call for a sweep. Penguins have been killing it this postseason. They get the nerves out, they’ll be fired up at home for sure. This series is going at least 6.

I suppose the Pens are expected to win at least one home game, since they’re 8-0 in the postseason. The last game they lost in front of their fans was a 2-1 shootout decision vs… ...the San Jose Sharks, way back on Feb.24.

he is very very fast, but he isn’t particularly good at picking up the pitcher’s tells and so on. Even on that play, he overslid the bag.

a refined base runner with his speed is beyond me. He could have had a long career just by being able to play D the way he does in CF and being able to steal bases/pinch run with his speed.

in every one, some d-bag makes a “no hitter!” comment (as if the rest of us didn’t notice), and when other people get upset they respond with “LOL it doesn’t matter”... and then the no-hitter gets broken up within minutes.

of course it’s just a coincidence, but i just think it’s a bit of a dick move to mention a no-hitter…

Personally, I think the superstition/tradition is dumb....

But I recognize that it’s important to a lot of people. So I think one should be careful not to mention it just out of common courtesy.

I’m guessing it was an honest mistake by Taj and he’ll know better next time.

I wonder if he’s holding it deeper into the palm of his hand – it kind of looked that way on one replay, and the ball looks like it has less spin. Almost like a little knuckleball action – very cool.
