Agreed

I wish him well

Blez,

Thanks a lot for posting this, from all of us at the 'Pit.

No thank you necessary

It's my pleasure and I hope DD gets well soon.

I'm actually watching every game that Danny Haren starts. He was one of my faves and I miss him all the time

I posted my good wishes

Let's give Doug Davis more love from Oakland!

Im not sure if his Cancer had anything to do with smokeless tobacco.....

But I felt it was a good time to share a way to help others who struggle with smokless tobacco. I dipped for over 18 years and finally quit about 10 months ago. If anyone here needs help quitting go to www.quitsmokeless.org for a support group of cool guys quitting. I tried everything to quit and this is the first time in my adult life that I went more then a few weeks without a chew.

I had two brothers who both dipped

and they had a nearly impossible time quitting. It's definitely not a good thing for young kids emulating their favorite stars to follow.

Thanks for posting that

Doug Davis's mother and sister both battled (and survived) thyroid cancer, so I don't know that that has much to do with it. But that's a great link for everyone to be aware of, thanks.

No Problem, I hope it helps someone out

I struggled with dip addiction for years. I thought I would never quit. It wasnt until I grabbed my sack joined the above site and finally quit for the rest of my life. I hope other dippers decide to make the same choice.

I heard his interview with Marty Lurie

a few days ago. He seemed cheerful and wanted to make sure other cancer patients got the benefit of the attention he was receiving.

would it be classy to create a betting pool

on who comes back first, davis or harden?

Right, it wouldn't, let's hope they both get well soon.

Thanks, Blez

We appreciate the link and I'm sure Doug will enjoy hearing from fans all over. :)
