Open Thread: Spring Training Game 21 - A's vs. Rangers

As Cactus League action winds down for the A's, Oakland takes on the Texas Rangers, whom the A's beat 9-7 in an Arlingtonesque game two days ago. Justin Duchscherer gets the start for Oakland - thank you to whomever posts the lineups.

Oh and Mendoza is pitching for Texas

"Simps" Barton pops to 3rd

Kinsler singles to center

Kinsler steals 2nd

Catalanotto walks on a 3-2

1st and 2nd, no out

According to the A's Press Pass

Besides Duke the only other pitcher assigned to pitch today is Casilla. The press pass is never 100% right but it usually is quite accurate. It even had Chad Gaudin set to pitch yesterday.

Press Pass

Young 4-6-3 DP

Kinsler to 3rd, 2 out

Kinsler scores on WP

Hamilton K's

1-0 Rangers after 1

Rough Start

Hopefully our offense can step up.

Denorfia with a leadoff double

Wanna take over pxp?

Denorfia doubles off the wall

Opposite field, it should be noted.

He's swinging the bat well the last 4 or 5 games.

Do you think he's regaining his form?

Botts robs Conrad at 1st.

Denorfia to 3rd, 1 away

Conrad grounds out to 1st, sounds like a good

Hey ole guy, love your thoughts, from another older guy

I can't believe Japan is so soon!

Get out your chopsticks...

time to start devouring sushi in solidarity.

Whoa!

'at's some mighty bold print you're using today.

DJ out 4-3, Hannahan out 4-3

Denorfia out 6-3

de los Santos in to pitch

His name means "of the Santos"

If you're wondering.

Thanks

for clearing that up.

that or "from the Saints"

They have a gun on dlS

93mph, then 95mph, then 97mph so far

Kinsler flies to right

Catalanotto pops to 2nd

96 on the gun

There are sure a lot of high pitches

Hamilton flies to right center

DLS was a little wild huh?

To be expected from a young guy I guess

I'm back and ready to see the A's come from behind

Conrad walks leading off

Petit K's swinging

Robinson Tejeda pitching, btw

Fiorentino lines out to center

Conrad almost thrown out at 1st, but safe. 2 away

Meeting on the mound

Tejeda taken out of the game, seemingly unplanned.

Hey look!

I passed 1000! 19,000 to go to have a party thrown for me.

Congrats!! Maybe we should have an interim party at 10,000.

Tie game!!!

On a 3-2 pitch, against a lefty.

sean dolittle in at 1B

corey brown in RF.

(2007 picks)

No more pxp from me today.

Enjoy the ballgame

thanks

for the pxp!

Barton's power numbers...

from the end of last season and this spring give some hope that he might be finding that pop(the one thing critics say is lacking) that could make him one of the best hitters in the game in a couple years.

I felt good about them coming back against the Rangers

but it still fosters hope for a really great regular season and I hate setting myself up for that.

one run scores on

E6, wild pitch, groundout, wild pitch.
5-4 rangers.

Anyone know what happened with the game?

Gameday isn't updating for me

Yeah GameDay

wont eve load for me.

Ok, A's, we need to score some runs because I'm off work

corey brown home run!

Corey Brown

HR !!!

Who is Corey Brown?

I don't find him on the roster or the ST program.

brown and dolittle are two of the a's top draft picks from 2007

Eduardo Cornejo

Does anyone where this guy is in the A's organization?

He is a 1st/3rd baseman, he was in Midland last year, I believe

Fiorentino walks with the bases loaded

11-6 now. Two out. Bags loaded. Bowen up.

Strike 3 called.

A's lose.

the winning streak is over

nice losing in s.t. rather than regular season when it counts.

LOL...
