And also illustrative of how things can change in baseball at the drop of a hat. Remember, it was just two short years ago that Loaiza started game two of the ALCS for the A’s, coming off a win in game two of the ALDS. Now, I doubt the A’s would even let him pitch an inning in relief in a spring training game. Also, it was also just two years ago that Barry Zito won 16 games and was the ace of the A’s staff and beat Johann Santana in game one of the ALDS at the Metrodome. My, how times have changed as I don’t think Barry Zito is going to be the ace of any staff anytime soon. However, in this game anything can change, and maybe in two years Barry Zito will be holding his second Cy Young Award for all we know…….
or none of the above??

Either E or Other: Brad Penny.
might be easier to do this as a poll though.

I agree with Penny
My second choice would be, ‘gulp’ Lowe. I am sorry that just sounds wrong. If I had to pick one from the list I would go with the home town boy RJ.

Ignoring cost: Lowe, RJ, Penny
Considering cost: RJ, Penny, Lowe

Since Sabathia wasn't one of the choices, I'll take Johnson
