I could root for the Slegna. To rip off Bill Simmons, the only way I could cheer them on is if Lackey was on the edge of a roof and someone started to yell “jump jump jump”.
I was just rereading Ball Four and Bouton says something like that.
Coaches would tell them about “a first pitch hitter”-let me know when he always swings at the sixth pitch…
And since I am complaining about this wonderful broadcast-they mentioned earlier that Aybar led Slegna in infield hits. Who the hell cares? Like it was his incredible strategy not to be strong enough to get the ball out of the infield.
My copy was a Christmas present from when I was in the 8th grade. It usually gets a reread every spring. The front cover finally came off, which makes me think I may need to get a new copy for Christmas this year.
I thought I drank my last one (out of two), but as I was putting leftovers away, I noticed a barely open twelve-pack on the bottom shelf? How in the hell did I miss that among the one tortilla, Tapatio, and sour cream?
Yes, the Angels got lucky, but then again Hunter did have to get the hit and he did. Cust would have walked or struck out. Hannahan would have struck out or struck out.
I think that answers the question of who I'm rooting for
I am pulling SO HARD for the Red Sox, it’s scaring me. I hate the Red Sox…but I apparently have a deep-seated subconsicous urge to root against the Angels, no matter what.
but I was in Boston a few years ago the day after the Sox were eliminated from the playoffs. We walked around deserted Fenway, and it rained all day. Pretty much awesome. (Except for the getting wet part.)
I realized I still have some flavor aid in my system
I think it is Al’s fault, and I really want him to take at least a small step back, but as he was speaking, I admit I found myself saying “well, hell, if Lane did that, we should kick him to the curb.”
“…the Red Sox will be very happy with the way Bay has debuted in his postseason… … [thinking: ‘crap! what’s another word for debut?!’] … start for the Red Sox.”
Tough call on who should pitch the bottom of the 8th
I don’t know that Papelbon pitching 2 IP is the best option. If not Paps, maybe Okajima to face Tex and then Delcarmen or Timlin to face Vlad and Hunter. Far from ideal.
Seriously, no one on AN gets in a manager’s head more than you. I like when there’s a close game, just to read your thoughts. And I never laugh when you’re wrong.
Being agressive on the basepaths went a long way in getting them the best record over the regular season. But one mistake and it could be the first step toward getting knocked out of the playoffs.
I think he thought Youk would take longer getting it.
Youk made a nice stab at it to keep it with him. I think Vlad thought if he missed it he would have a chance. And as it was happening, I thought that might occur. But thats why you have a third base coach that you should watch.
Interesting - but I don't think the Sox would do it
They must feel Masterson is set-up material if he’s setting up Game 1 of the ALDS so Street would be a two-year upgrade of someone they like as a six-year option. Which means they’d probably have to like Gallagher – Lowrie straight up to do that deal.
Gallagher, Street, Crosby for Lowrie, Masterson, Lugo. Exchange bad shortstops and their bad contracts. Am i correct in assuming that Crosby is better than Lugo.
Can’t wait to see Red Sox losing to the Rays. It’s like the big bad bully losing to the little guy that they always pick on. I may like this post season more than I think after all.
New thread!
Cool

I agree
This looks like the type of neighborhood I could hang out at for awhile.
5Aces - October 1, 2008
Oh, I've been tricked.
Funny, Nico.
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
If a line drive hit Lackey's face
would it get any uglier? If a tree falls in the woods…
butler19 - October 1, 2008
The ball would reconstruct his face..
into something slightly less horrendous.
thesteve9x - October 1, 2008
If a bear shits on Lackey's face?
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
That's a hypothetical?

ew
oakinboston - October 1, 2008
Sorry.

So is lynnzgal when she says "Sorry".

Thanks Nico

I was going to say Applebee's but yeah...same thing.

5Aces - October 1, 2008
I could root for Torii Hunter, so long as he was about to push Lackey
Nico - October 1, 2008
Ya know, I never thought I'd say this,
but I think that, given my hatred for these two miserable buttloving teams, I would even root for the Yankees against either one of them…

I would and I have.
There, I said it.

67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
...But,
It would be so awesome to see the Rays beat one of these bunch of A Holes to get into the World Series though..
iljackb - October 1, 2008
Let's hope
We’re not rooting for the White Sox to do the deed.
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
Even if the White Sox do win (tear) the ALDS
I still want them in teh WS over them Red Sux/Angels.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
Indubitably
But in that case we could hopefuly root for the Brewers.
iljackb - October 1, 2008
Even the required weekly broadcast test

Yet we are still watching!..
iljackb - October 1, 2008
At least Lester looks better than Lackey
Blicks - October 1, 2008

Nico - October 1, 2008
I'm a 10th pitch strike out guy myself.
thesteve9x - October 1, 2008
I like to walk on the third pitch.
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
Silly goose - you can't walk with three balls
You just fall over.

You can

He's proud of his string bean arms.
And I think it’s more referring to the speed it takes to beat out an infield hit.
thesteve9x - October 1, 2008
Notice how no one jusr reads "Ball Four"?
They’re always re-reading it. I’ve worn mine out.

Yes, the Angels got lucky, but then again Hunter did have to get the hit and he did. Cust would have walked or struck out. Hannahan would have struck out or struck out.

I love you Jason Bay.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
Boston sportswriters are happy
They can recycle all their dreadful Bay puns.
Englishmajor - October 1, 2008
Speaking of puns,
mlb.com’s headline about the Phillies-Brewers game: “Philly gives Brewers the Cole shoulder in Game 1.” Shudder.
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
Bwah.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
Geez - I wasn't Braun yesterday.
Nico - October 1, 2008
I saw "Cole Slaugh-ter"
OK, I made that up.
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
Santa leave Cole in Philly stockings
FreeSeatUpgrade - October 1, 2008
Thank you Jason!
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
Thank GOD they have a commercial with Jeter in it
It had been like 1 day since I saw a Yankee, I was going through withdrawl.
5Aces - October 1, 2008
Is that what you get after talking to a Southener?
Nico - October 1, 2008
Why yes good sir
I say, I say I do believe it is.
(It’s hard to pull off a Foghorn Leghorn impersonation in a post…)
5Aces - October 1, 2008
Everyone is talking at once.
I don’t know who to reply to.
Is that a song? It should be a song.
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
Sometimes I can't tell the difference between Lester and Papelbon.
Jennifer - October 1, 2008
just look for the one thats a
HUGE DOUCHEEEE
oakinboston - October 1, 2008
Red Sawx Nation wants to kill you.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
paps...give him something else
DyeLongJustice - October 1, 2008
I don't think I've ever seen Lester pitch before.
He needs to put his cap on straight.
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
I like it gay.
Nico - October 1, 2008
You would.
thesteve9x - October 1, 2008
If you weren't so cute, I'd be mad.
Nico - October 1, 2008
If you weren't so mad, I'd be cute

Sit the Monkeys down.
And spank them.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
In a diaper!
Is it getting hot in here?
Nico - October 1, 2008
Take your stinking paws off me, you damned dirty ape!
5Aces - October 1, 2008
This is random,
but I was in Boston a few years ago the day after the Sox were eliminated from the playoffs. We walked around deserted Fenway, and it rained all day. Pretty much awesome. (Except for the getting wet part.)
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
This game thread is crazee!
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
The best kind!
It was absolutely dead this afternoon, especially during the Phils-Brewers game. Some people have this strange thing called a job… it was lonely.
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
SO LONELY...
….and I have a job!
baseballgirl - October 1, 2008
Yep!
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
I've been using that spelling all day.
Had to explain to my friends: there is crazy, there is CRAZEE, and there is Al talking for 45 minutes about how his coach is a total liar.
5Aces - October 1, 2008
QOTM
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
That was such a painful press conference.
Al is losing it.
thesteve9x - October 1, 2008
"Losing" it?
He’s done lost it a while ago. A while meaning 1986.
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
I realized I still have some flavor aid in my system
I think it is Al’s fault, and I really want him to take at least a small step back, but as he was speaking, I admit I found myself saying “well, hell, if Lane did that, we should kick him to the curb.”
5Aces - October 1, 2008
A small piece of me did as well
I’m just tired of going through coaches, man.
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
Lester just struck out the side.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
Is that allowed?
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
100 pitches
Does he come out to pitch the 7th?
PortlandPachyderm - October 1, 2008
Yes, IMO.
If he allows baserunners, pull him.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
Depends, how much faith does Francona have in his bullpen?
thesteve9x - October 1, 2008
I think if you're in the playoffs
You ride your starter until he gives you a good reason not to.
Besides Papelbon, who else is trustworthy in the Sox pen?
PortlandPachyderm - October 1, 2008
oka.
not as good as last year. but still solid
oakinboston - October 1, 2008
Unless you're Grady Little of course
Nico - October 1, 2008
Of course
That was implied. :)
PortlandPachyderm - October 1, 2008
and there we go
okajimers warming up
oakinboston - October 1, 2008
At the moment
No one really, Okajima hasn’t been as good as he was last year.
thesteve9x - October 1, 2008
Lester might be able to go another full inning
115 pitches isn’t that much to ask.
Nico - October 1, 2008
tough call.
im going to agree with Blicks. but only because there have been a ton of questions surrounding the bullpen.
hesitant though.
still have Okajimer and Paps waiting in the wings
oakinboston - October 1, 2008
Where's Daisuke when you need him?
DyeLongJustice - October 1, 2008
LMAO

67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
Not sure if I can survive this thread.
And I’ve lost count of the QOTM. Laughing too hard!
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008

That was awesome.
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008

oakinboston - October 1, 2008
Missed it; what happened?
Blicks - October 1, 2008
Look at your first two words - that's what Matthews Jr. did.
Nico - October 1, 2008
Thanks Nico. I love you GMJ. Please do that more.
Oh. Since I’m rooting for the Brewers, the Crew should let the Slegna borrow Rickie Weeks’ defense at 2B. Fun fun.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
GMJ charged a line drive at full speed...
…and it went five feet over his glove and behind him. Had to chase it while Ellsbury went to 3rd
baseballgirl - October 1, 2008
So did GMJ
baseballgirl - October 1, 2008
Ohhhhhhhh so great.
pam5981 - October 1, 2008
Oh shit.
That was nasty.
Jennifer - October 1, 2008
LOL @ Matthews
Now if there’s any justice a single will be next to make up for the Boston error
Trainman - October 1, 2008
They have a coach named Butcher?
Well, why doesn’t he do his job, then?
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
I even gave him a machete and pointed to Lackey
Nico - October 1, 2008
GMJ didn't lose it in the lights
He lost it in the “oops!”
Nico - October 1, 2008
Great, my TV switched away from the game to record FRASIER.
WTF did I miss?

oakinboston - October 1, 2008
Hahaha. Bye, Lackey.
Hopefully we won’t have to see him again this year.
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008

lynnzgal - October 1, 2008

Amnesiac - October 1, 2008

Amnesiac - October 1, 2008
I hate anything that comes from Lackey
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
Except for long balls.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
Except when he gives up a home run.
That comes from him.. somewhat.
thesteve9x - October 1, 2008
How about a wild pitch with a man on third?
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
Geez, you people are so literal.
Of course there are a very few notable exceptions, like the ones mentioned.
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
And out there.
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
Come on
do you expect any less from us?

why are the players on the field holding their hats over their hearts? don’t they play the national anthem before the game?
DyeLongJustice - October 1, 2008
They play America the Beautiful

thesteve9x - October 1, 2008

DyeLongJustice - October 1, 2008
What the crap is that guy wearing?!
Worst. Suit. Ever.

whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
Yes, yes it was.
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
Yes,
but it needs to be re-iterated over and over. Because that suit is horrendous.
thesteve9x - October 1, 2008
It's not his fault

thank you TBS!
thesteve9x - October 1, 2008

lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
And the only person who can help him is Tim Gunn.
He’d make that shit work.

67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
It's like deja vu

5Aces - October 1, 2008
Haha. Unidentified commentator:

whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
LOL - I was waiting to see how he got himself out of that one.
He didn’t.

lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
Alright I need to get off the internet
I have over 150 comments today. Ugh.
thesteve9x - October 1, 2008

I’ve only been posting since mid-September.
thesteve9x - October 1, 2008
You better pace yourself.
You don’t want to be ROY and then flame out with injuries and lack of talent, like a certain Bobby we know.
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
Yeah, like carpal tunnel or something. I'll have a sophomore slump next season.
Then fade away into obscurity.
thesteve9x - October 1, 2008
And that school work is going to hell.
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
I done did it already.

oakinboston - October 1, 2008
My BF Cubs Fan was whining about the higher highs and crushing lows,
I told her the crushing low is when you’re on the AN game thread posting about the playoffs when your team isn’t in them. But this is fun. Mostly!
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
Lester gets better as the game goes on
velocity was at 95 there.
I would bring in Papelbon for two innings.
Their middle relief cannot be trusted can it?
Trainman - October 1, 2008
Agreed.
No game tomorrow, bring him in.
But CAN he effectively do 2 innings?
Blicks - October 1, 2008
Frank's Donald Trump is probably one of the most pathetic things ever.
thesteve9x - October 1, 2008
When is he going to be phased out?
miggyk2 - October 1, 2008
SO CLOSE!!!!
baseballgirl - October 1, 2008
youuuuuuuuuuk
oakinboston - October 1, 2008
Damn

Wow. That was like an inch away from hitting the pole.
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
TWDS?
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
TWP5981S
oakinboston - October 1, 2008
Tough call on who should pitch the bottom of the 8th
I don’t know that Papelbon pitching 2 IP is the best option. If not Paps, maybe Okajima to face Tex and then Delcarmen or Timlin to face Vlad and Hunter. Far from ideal.
Nico - October 1, 2008
Timlin should not be allowed in a close game.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
I didn't even know Timlin was still on the Sox.
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
Correction: He's not even on the postseason roster.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
So I was right!
Kind of.
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
He's kind of their Foulke - hey he used to be great!
Delcarmen has the stuff but you never quite know what you’re going to get with him. If Timlin’s not on the roster, I’d say don’t use him.
Nico - October 1, 2008
There's a game on?
I wouldn’t go with Paps for six outs.
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
.Gotta love the west coast game.
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
Looked up stats- Paps has only pitched 2 innings twice in 2008
Both Sox wins.
Both in extras.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
I'm guessing Francona will go with experience
and try to squeeze the entire 8th inning out of Okajima – with Papelbon ready for a 4-out save if things get dicey.
Nico - October 1, 2008
You enjoy this cat-and-mouse stuff, huh?
Seriously, no one on AN gets in a manager’s head more than you. I like when there’s a close game, just to read your thoughts. And I never laugh when you’re wrong.
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
Good thing...cuz I wuz!
I didn’t realize Masterson would get the call to set-up in a one-run game.
Nico - October 1, 2008
And yeah, I love it - I like to "manage" in real time
I never criticize a move if I didn’t have a different idea before it was too late for the manager to actually make the decision.
Nico - October 1, 2008
I remember you saying that you agreed
with most of Geren’s moves this year. I know how easy it is to manage from the sofa, but you seem to have a real sense.
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
Thanks - I try.
Nico - October 1, 2008
I'm not sure many saw that coming.
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
Never say you looked it up.

67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
I love you Jason Bay and Scot Shields.
Blicks - October 1, 2008

baseballgirl - October 1, 2008

oh my!
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
Hunch
Tex will tie it.
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
What are those red clapper things the Angels fans have?
Whatever they are, they’re probably better than Thunderstix.
Whoa, nice catch!
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
Not that you’ll see this…. but it’s basically a giant plastic sheet you fold up like a fan and slap against your hand.
I had a headache by the 3rd inning.
drmmerchk - October 2, 2008
Good Jacoby!
pam5981 - October 1, 2008
Hunch
Tex won’t tie it.
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
Don't play the ponies.
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
Well, at least one of you will likely be mostly correct.
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
Hunch
Teix will be worthless in the playoffs.
Monkeys will have given up Kotchman for quintessentially nothing.

buddahead9 - October 1, 2008
Justin, please pull a Greg Smith.
Pick ’em off!
Blicks - October 1, 2008
That's the double edged sword
Being agressive on the basepaths went a long way in getting them the best record over the regular season. But one mistake and it could be the first step toward getting knocked out of the playoffs.
5Aces - October 1, 2008
The idea of taking risks is good -
but Vlad had no chance. You can’t force something that isn’t there.
Nico - October 1, 2008
TWRS
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
He thought Youk
caught it for the third out?
Hot Cup Joe - October 1, 2008
Youk made an exceptional play to short hop it cleanly,
get up and make a strong throw. But if an offline throw can get you by 30 feet? Not a good risk.
Nico - October 1, 2008
I think he thought Youk would take longer getting it.
Youk made a nice stab at it to keep it with him. I think Vlad thought if he missed it he would have a chance. And as it was happening, I thought that might occur. But thats why you have a third base coach that you should watch.
5Aces - October 1, 2008
That was the most fun inning ever!
baseballgirl - October 1, 2008
"Ever"?
Blicks - October 1, 2008
ever in the history of this day,

whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
That was a lovely shot of K-Rud just now
Englishmajor - October 1, 2008
The "above average but not great" closer?
Nico - October 1, 2008
The plan view?
awesome!
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
...as opposed to a good baserunning blunder
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
Shields has not been good of late
and lets hope that continues with an insurance run or two
Trainman - October 1, 2008
There you go
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
Now Paps gets to do his work.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
What would the A's have to give up to get Lowrie?
The BoSox do have Lugo for a few more years.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
Man would I love to have him.
But the answer is probably too much.
Nico - October 1, 2008
Rich Harden?
Probably have to add Gaudin as well to sweeten the deal.
miggyk2 - October 1, 2008
As far as pieces I'm at peace with giving up,
the best I can do is Street, Mazzaro, Crosby. More likely something like Gallagher and Street gets the Red Sox attention.
Nico - October 1, 2008
Gallagher and Street for
Lowrie and Masterson.
miggyk2 - October 1, 2008
Interesting - but I don't think the Sox would do it
They must feel Masterson is set-up material if he’s setting up Game 1 of the ALDS so Street would be a two-year upgrade of someone they like as a six-year option. Which means they’d probably have to like Gallagher – Lowrie straight up to do that deal.
Nico - October 1, 2008
They either really like Masterson or really hate their other options
I think Masterson could be a solid starter. I am a big fan of starters with a heavy sinker. A back end of Street and Paps would be pretty solid.
miggyk2 - October 1, 2008
Yeah, but the downgrade from Lowrie and his potential to Lugo
is pretty steep too.
Nico - October 1, 2008
How about
Gallagher, Street, Crosby for Lowrie, Masterson, Lugo. Exchange bad shortstops and their bad contracts. Am i correct in assuming that Crosby is better than Lugo.
miggyk2 - October 1, 2008
Eh. They pretty much both suck.
Nico - October 1, 2008
I don't think Gallagher's on the table, though
I think the A’s have him in mind as joining Cahill and Anderson at the front of a very good rotation come 2010.
Nico - October 1, 2008
So, Furcal it is.
He was back in action today, which was suprising.
miggyk2 - October 1, 2008
insurance run!
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
Whoooohooo!
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
So do we get free tacos again this year
or is it some other promotion?
Englishmajor - October 1, 2008
"They can manufacture runs at will!"
That explains why they have 3 runs all night.
Nico - October 1, 2008
go figure
other teams can manufacture runs besides the Angels…
the way Hudler talks about them.. you’d think they were the only ones that could do it
buddahead9 - October 1, 2008
Okay, I think I'm getting a little too much happiness
out of seeing miserable Angels fans. Hee hee.
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
un-possible
67MARQUEZ - October 1, 2008
That last shot was awesome.
I love seeing depressed socal tan people with frosted tips and visors. It just looks kinda funny.

Blicks - October 1, 2008
Way to lose, LAAA!
Can’t wait to see Red Sox losing to the Rays. It’s like the big bad bully losing to the little guy that they always pick on. I may like this post season more than I think after all.
asfansince1989 - October 1, 2008
I want to see the Rays go through Boston,
then the Cubs.

Or Phillies.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
Yes, Jacoby, TAKE that bag.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
Injury delay.

Blicks - October 1, 2008
Napoli took a foul tip or something off his knee.
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
Hmm
Blicks - October 1, 2008
Let’s Go Red Soxummm
Let’s Go Angelsno
Somebody lose already.
doctorK - October 1, 2008
If the Red Sox hang on, every team I picked to advance
will have won today. Contrary to my rooting, I’ve picked the White Sox over the Rays (but go Rays!).
Nico - October 1, 2008
congrats
ur cool
oakinboston - October 1, 2008
OK. Bring Jacoby home.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
Okey dokey!
Nico - October 1, 2008
Hee hee.
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008

doctorK - October 1, 2008
Awesome!
Buh-bye!
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
Is it okay if I stop watching now?
pam5981 - October 1, 2008
Quite possibly.
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
yes.
and yes.
oakinboston - October 1, 2008
If you stick it out for 3 more outs,
you can see many many sad Angels fans!
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
I want that!
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
Scot Shields is pure win.
I love him and want him and K-Fuck to be the 8th and 9th inning guys.
I want Arredondo off the team.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
LOL Pitching to Big Papi there
Not a good decision for Scioscia and his Rally Monkey swinging fans in the crowd.
Love the dejected looks
Go Rays tomorrow and all the way
Trainman - October 1, 2008
doctorK - October 1, 2008
Laughed out loud.
miggyk2 - October 1, 2008
Finish this sentence
Winning 100 games and clinching on Sep 10, then losing in the 1st round of playoff is like …
asfansince1989 - October 1, 2008
awesome.
Nico - October 1, 2008
A dead rally monkey.
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
... winning the lottery, and then investing the winnings with Lehman Brothers
doctorK - October 1, 2008
Camping out inline for a week for an iPhone, and then failing the AT&T's credit check
FAIL!
asfansince1989 - October 1, 2008
Psst. IPhones svck.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
Yeah, they do.
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
I don't know how many 100 game winners have actually made it past the AL/NLDS in the years of their seasons
Blicks - October 1, 2008
Going 16-0
and losing the Super Bowl?
Nah, that is much worse.
67MARQUEZ - October 2, 2008
This series, like last year, makes me hate the Angels all the more
Rooting “for” the Red Sox against the Rodentia makes me feel dirty.
doctorK - October 1, 2008
Yes, but I can't help myself.
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
Kill that farking monkey already
doctorK - October 1, 2008
i really want the angels to lose at home
but i want papeldouche to blow the save
but i don’t want to have to see the rally monkey bullshit
< changes channel >
xbhaskarx - October 1, 2008
Oh, end it already! I want to watch Project Runway!
pam5981 - October 1, 2008

BigTuna - October 1, 2008
She. must. go.
pam5981 - October 1, 2008
Their talent is comparable.
lynnzgal - October 1, 2008
Is it bad that I like watching teams lose their games at home
so that I can see all the depressed fans?
whiteshoes40 - October 1, 2008
that’s exactly what i’m rooting for.
-losses at home for the depressed fans
-blown saves and sloppy baseball
xbhaskarx - October 1, 2008
In this case, not at all
doctorK - October 1, 2008
Not if the team is the Slegna.
Blicks - October 1, 2008
weeeee.
but also, hate papelbon.
oakinboston - October 1, 2008
