The Conspiracy Continues
November 22, 1963, JFK shot in Dallas. If you reexamine the numbers for that date - 11, 22 and 1963 - you get an suspicious connection to Barry Bonds.

Tom walked away to bang his clueless new booty why Nicole still has to raise two boys without a father.
A man doesn't walk away from his sons like that. Jesus, married to Nicole Kidman you keep it freaking together in this life, but Tom was too arrogant. Nothing's ever good enough for some people.
I just have a great deal of trouble respecting a man who walks away from his sons. Nicole has to raise them herself while Tom whistles along with a new trophy.

Once questions were directed to BB he said that we should identify ourselves by our AN username. Pretty funny... but you know he reads this stuff on occasion.
It's freakin' hot, and he thought he could go home an hour ago. Now, he has to stand around and get even more sweaty because both teams are unimpressive.
Wash is tired of watching this crap too. He just wants to go in the clubhouse and eat some grub and get a shower. Why should Young have it all to himself?
The American way is to win now, win at all costs, win no matter what. How you win is a secondary consideration. We don't like to admit it, but we all snicker when a guy gets over and wins with a little trickery. It's why guys like Gaylord Perry and Barry Bonds fascinate us. And why we like a guy who screams his head off for no good reason other than a slight perceived advantage. It's like being a sled dog, if you ain't the lead dog, the view never changes.

The Conspiracy Continues
November 22, 1963, JFK shot in Dallas. If you reexamine the numbers for that date - 11, 22 and 1963 - you get an suspicious connection to Barry Bonds.
Month-November: 1 + 1 = 2.
Day-22: 2 + 2 = 4.
Year-1963: 1 + 9 + 6 + 3 = 19
Add 2 + 4 + 19 = 25 BARRY BONDS'S NUMBER!
Coincidence? I Think...NOT!

SwisherThresher - August 6, 2007

It could have rained last inning.
Hit4TheCycle - August 6, 2007

Come on Embree! Let's get Salty here.
ohtobe21likehuston - August 6, 2007
Lotta respect for Nick's arm there
Gawd.
paradox - August 6, 2007
Arrrrrrrrrg!!!!
Somebody shoot me!
paradox - August 6, 2007
A free out always helps in the ninth!
paradox - August 6, 2007

Humumumumumow mow humumumowmow
oblique - August 6, 2007
Can it get any worse....

alox - August 6, 2007

WOWgotgreen - August 6, 2007
Wow. I've seen it all now.
ohtobe21likehuston - August 6, 2007
...ouch.
Well, they deserve to lose this one.Flashfire - August 6, 2007
That's not helpful.
We want a win!
IM4Oakgal - August 6, 2007
I know who shot Dallas now
The Oakland A's bullpen.
Hit4TheCycle - August 6, 2007
Who pitches the 10th?
boilerdan - August 6, 2007
umm...
Kotsay?
SwisherThresher - August 6, 2007
this team is so miserable
Vegas A's Fan - August 6, 2007
Look who shows up when it's the worst
I'm surprised
sprtsnwyn - August 6, 2007
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
paradox - August 6, 2007
Oh boys. Don't you know about my hectic
travel schedule today! I was hoping to hit the pillow by now.
ohtobe21likehuston - August 6, 2007
so when was the last A's hit?
skutch - August 6, 2007
The A's last hit?
I think that would be the wonderfully cheesy Boy Next Door written and performed by former "A" Barry Zito.
Rocktopus - August 6, 2007
Boo. Let Kurt redeem himself.
greala - August 6, 2007
Oh crap!
I just got back. Goddammit, bullpen.
danmerqury - August 6, 2007
I think
the last one was in the 1920s
oh wait
that was the 10 consecutive hits feat - nevermind
SwisherThresher - August 6, 2007
This game is another
sickening one.
IM4Oakgal - August 6, 2007
There's been
far too many of those this season
every time I think I've witnessed the most grueling game of the season, the A's seem to try their darndest to top it
oh and
ALERT
Bonds at the plate, part III
SwisherThresher - August 6, 2007
Golden Sombrero for Buck.
Not a good look for him.ohtobe21likehuston - August 6, 2007
Bonds is up
IM4Oakgal - August 6, 2007
Alert
FSBA carrying Roid Boy.
louismg - August 6, 2007
***Bonds is up***
ohtobe21likehuston - August 6, 2007
This team doesn't deserve to win this game...
...Up 7-0... let them chip away all game. Just freakin' serve up some salad and let them win already.
UncleLeo - August 6, 2007
Double play
haha
IM4Oakgal - August 6, 2007
haha
true Athletic
oh wait
SwisherThresher - August 6, 2007
LOL
spreading the joy.
IM4Oakgal - August 6, 2007
Why is Embree still out there?
OldhamA - August 6, 2007
Because the only alternative is Marshall
boilerdan - August 6, 2007
Wow - not a lot of confidence in Marshall
Didn't Brown pitch 2 1/3 yesterday?
boilerdan - August 6, 2007
Good, I want to go home.
OldhamA - August 6, 2007
Two reasons.
danmerqury - August 6, 2007
forgot about Calero
or I'm trying to anyway
boilerdan - August 6, 2007
Because his arm hasn't actually fallen off, yet.
Fungo - August 6, 2007
Emphasis on yet.
OldhamA - August 6, 2007
30 pitches for Embree
groooooooooooan
IM4Oakgal - August 6, 2007
On the bright side
Casilla only threw 8, so he can close tomorrow...
boilerdan - August 6, 2007
Yeah
and with the way things are going...get a blown save.
IM4Oakgal - August 6, 2007
Nice inning from Mr. Embree. Too bad the game
went "shit-house" a while back.
ohtobe21likehuston - August 6, 2007
Just a bit high, but I'll take it
Hawk - August 6, 2007
It's okay.
A's are putting up a 5 spot right here.
Coach Cleats - August 6, 2007
Is that all? They put up 6 in the 1st.
ohtobe21likehuston - August 6, 2007
They're tired!
That was nearly four hours ago!
Coach Cleats - August 6, 2007
Well in fairness they've done nothing since.
OldhamA - August 6, 2007
Any new rumors abt dealing Piazza?
Hawk - August 6, 2007
Twins are offering a bag of baseballs, if
we eat his contract.
OldhamA - August 6, 2007
That's about it
the Twins are cheap.
IM4Oakgal - August 6, 2007
and a bucket of shit
bigmacattack @ Athletics Nation - August 6, 2007
We should hold out for a year's worth of pine tar
BB would love to save some $$$$ in 2008.
ohtobe21likehuston - August 6, 2007
Swish is in the mother of all slumps.
OldhamA - August 6, 2007
what if it's not a slump?
danh - August 6, 2007
Give a player a multi-year contract
in the middle of a season, and this is often the result.
Swisher already admitted he started pressing to "earn his money" after he signed for it.
One won lost won - August 6, 2007
Pressing to be shitty? He's doing well then.
OldhamA - August 6, 2007
A funny note from AN Day.
Once questions were directed to BB he said that we should identify ourselves by our AN username. Pretty funny... but you know he reads this stuff on occasion.ohtobe21likehuston - August 6, 2007
That is interesting.
I bet that you are right.
IM4Oakgal - August 6, 2007
how do you even pronounce yours
but that is pretty funny
closetasfan - August 6, 2007
Oh to be 21 like Huston.
ohtobe21likehuston - August 6, 2007
Just like it reads.
Flashfire - August 6, 2007
C'mon Piazza! Hit a home run so we can get
something for you! 3 home runs for a DH? Pathetic! Even with your injury! He looks like a singles hitter now! He has A's disease!
A'sfansince1970 - August 6, 2007
Jose Vidro then.
OldhamA - August 6, 2007
That was a brutal call IMO. Ridiculous.
ohtobe21likehuston - August 6, 2007
Wash
is losing it.
IM4Oakgal - August 6, 2007
Gotta say, this ump is a freaking joke.
Flashfire - August 6, 2007
Cut him some slack...
It's freakin' hot, and he thought he could go home an hour ago. Now, he has to stand around and get even more sweaty because both teams are unimpressive.
louismg - August 6, 2007
I believe the word you're looking for is crap.
OldhamA - August 6, 2007
Maybe it's just an English thing, but I've never
understood arguing the call to the point of getting thrown out. The Ump NEVER reverses it. You just look like a muppet.
OldhamA - August 6, 2007
You have to protect your players and it might
get you a call later in the game. It's actually a brilliant move even though I understand your thinking.
ohtobe21likehuston - August 6, 2007
I understand arguing the call, but not crossing
the line and getting ejected.
OldhamA - August 6, 2007
Are you kidding??
Wash is tired of watching this crap too. He just wants to go in the clubhouse and eat some grub and get a shower. Why should Young have it all to himself?
alox - August 6, 2007
Not to mention that Young is in there too
and it will build team morale. They had some rough patches at the beginning of the year and this will help their relationship a great deal.
ohtobe21likehuston - August 6, 2007
And calling the Ump a cocksucker (Bull
Durham reference there for you guys :P) is going to do that?
I can see the hungry and in need of a shower point though. ;)
OldhamA - August 6, 2007
Aren't you English? Or do you mean American?
ohtobe21likehuston - August 6, 2007
I'm English - it means I can't fathom the America
way of doing certain things! :P
OldhamA - August 6, 2007
Hey. Neither can I sometimes :-)
ohtobe21likehuston - August 6, 2007
Neither can I, consistently
Though in California we are a lot more reasonable.
One won lost won - August 6, 2007
That's easy.
It's like being a sled dog, if you ain't the lead dog, the view never changes.
alox - August 6, 2007
Good Brown
IM4Oakgal - August 6, 2007
He's been better than expected too.
OldhamA - August 6, 2007
Wash is awesome!
A'sfansince1970 - August 6, 2007
Ya knoooow
I was really hoping to watch "A Player to be Named Later" that arrived in the mail this afternoon - especially after the Scooter Grand Slam
But noooooo, the A's had to blow a 7-0 lead and carry it into extras
Now it's late and I'm annoyed ;(
SwisherThresher - August 6, 2007
Stick around for a while and you
will be furious.
alox - August 6, 2007
I'm annoyed too
Tired of sitting here watching crappily played ball.
IM4Oakgal - August 6, 2007
You should watch it
no matter how late it is or how frustrating this team is. Great movie.
A'sfansince1970 - August 6, 2007
I wonder if Kapers is enjoying herself tonight?
ohtobe21likehuston - August 6, 2007
Where is K-pep?
IM4Oakgal - August 6, 2007
I think she is in Arlington.
ohtobe21likehuston - August 6, 2007
New thread open
UGH.
Tyler Bleszinski - August 6, 2007
Terrible thread... Blez.
ohtobe21likehuston - August 6, 2007
Electronic strike zone anyone?
Even if he went to UCSB (like KenKo and me) ya gotta like the "double-boom-boom" of MYoung striking out, then out of the game.
