ANtics - Episode VII: A's Week At the Movies

Earlier this week, the A's traveled down to Hollywood way to take on the hated Angels. In that spirit, the ANtics asked A's teammates Adam Melhuse and Joe Blanton to take us backstage and review this week's films - featuring Bartolo Colon as Shrek in "Return of Shrek", and John Lackey as Slingblade in "Slingblade II"! Given Adam and Joe play one of every five games, they obliged to give us some time.

This week's "Melhuse and Blanton at the Movies" can be seen in this week's ANtics!

As someone involved with movies
this is hysterical! Great job, my favorite ANtic yet. :)
That is awesome!
I love the part about Lackey's mouth never being closed. So true! And Macha and Beane at the end. Classic. Great work, as always! :)
i think he meant swish...
but lackey does seem to have that "dumbfounded open mouth look" going on.
Open mouth look is definitely Lackey
That guy is a certified mouth-breather...
Same with Haren
But Danny wears it so much better!
I noticed that...
last year watching Danny pitch in the WS. He never closed his mouth. Me and my family were making fun of him....I definitely regret that now, but Danny totally looks cuter than Lackwit.
Too Much!
Another great comic.  Thanks, louismg.
Fabulous, Louis
I just spent 10 minutes showing my in-laws photos of Shrek and Colon.  They finally agreed.  Separated at birth.
Why do I always have to be the fat guy?
That's the No. 1 quote...followed by "I love them French fried pertaters."

I love them French fried ANtics...Hmmm mmm...

Two Thumbs Up
For this week's ANtics, the movie reference were great. Plus, Richard Roeper is a White Sox fan so won't read this strip.
Hey, i've been reading
AN for a looong time but i never made an SN so i kinda feel like i'm a part of it now. Awesome comic!
That's awesome.
I think this is my favorite one yet
And I wasn't able to get pictures of Paul because he was kicked out for some reason. I have a couple stock, and I'll take more if he's there tomorrow.
