but what the heck, why not? lol. actually, i've been to austin a couple of times for music festivals and know people from there. awesome place, awesome people. the rest of texas? eh, not so hot (huston on the other hand...!!)
that's got to be the second biggest disappointment regarding the breakup of the big three. no world championship is #1, but it would have been nice to see one of those things we will not mention by name here...
Who isn't Art Howe in Heaven,
Hallowed by thy name,
Thy Kingdom Come, They Will be done,
On Earth, like it is in Oakland.
Give us this day our daily win,
And forgive us our rants on AN, as we forgive those who fail to drive in runners in scoring position, and lead us not to Giants and deliver us another division title.
I read something about the Phils hanging on to Polanco to trade him with Howard in a blockbuster this summer...sounds like a deal right up Billy's alley.
problem is, the phillies think they're gonna get zito or harden for those two. they overvalue howard tremendously... he was a 26 year old tearing up AA.
oh, and i bet soriano homers right here. he scares me.
If he had some runs, he might have been fine in the 6th, the later it is the finer young pitchers think they need to be. You have noticed lately the A's young pitchers have had problems in the 6th on, because they see no runs on the board
Ichiro is a god for last night's catch. The game didnt even matter at that point. He climbed the wall and stayed there for a second to catch that thing. GOD
I have a soft spot for Saarloos and I'd really like to see him succeed. I do have to say though, that he doesn't perform well when he's pitching without a lead.
Or will we pop out, strike out, ground out, force out, or get hit by the ball in play and be out...
You be the judge after this short commercial break.
and I don't have any numbers to back me up. But no A's player has ever inspired less confidence in me than Melhuse, with the possible exception of Sal Fasano.
out of every team in baseball its the hardest to be an a's fan because when theres a runner at 3rd with less than 2 outs and we leave him stranded or the bases loaded and we cnt do shizzle!!!! ahhhh i just wanna go crazy!!!!!!!!!
since we dont have much going for us, lets try and state all the positives for the a's this year. every1 go around and say 1 thing at a time. ill start..
I have too much anger in my heart right now. How come when our pitchers screw up they look frustrated, and when our hitters screw up they look complacent and stupid?
looks like the song remains the same
with RISP.....maybe there should be some kangaroo court fines to spark a fire in these guys.oakwin2004 - May 3, 2005

HerbWashington - May 3, 2005
Can we slam?
Or will we pop out, strike out, ground out, force out, or get hit by the ball in play and be out...You be the judge after this short commercial break.
Ionnes - May 3, 2005
With the bases loaded
Will we now go into double digit LOB again?theblackpearl - May 3, 2005

Worst AB all night.
Sadly i feel bad for bashing kendall cause he would have at least waited to see a good pitch go by to strike him out.Ionnes - May 3, 2005
A's gonna be 3 games back.
capper3 - May 3, 2005
A's gonna be 17-24 after 12 games w/Yanks
... and RedSux !!HerbWashington - May 3, 2005
Stop It!
OaklandInvader - May 3, 2005
I wish I were wrong, but after watching A's
.... for 36 seasons. they NEVER, EVER play well against Yankes and RedSox.Especially in Yankee Stadium and Fenway, thus far, this team has shown no ability to make me think any different.
Trust me, I'd truly LOVE to be wrong and the A's finish those games 24-17.
I'll happily eat me words if 24-17 happens, but it ain't.
at least, it'll free up some time during the summer !!
HerbWashington - May 3, 2005
T-Long baby, T-Long!
capper3 - May 4, 2005
this may be irrational
and I don't have any numbers to back me up. But no A's player has ever inspired less confidence in me than Melhuse, with the possible exception of Sal Fasano.EastCoastA - May 3, 2005
Worst AB all night poll.
Byrnes 1st ABKielty's 3rd AB
Ellis' 1st AB
Melhuse's 3rd AB
Ionnes - May 3, 2005
Hatty w/ 1st and 3rd no outs in 3rd
... or Durazo following with 3-1 pitch DP to end that inning.HerbWashington - May 3, 2005
i think
out of every team in baseball its the hardest to be an a's fan because when theres a runner at 3rd with less than 2 outs and we leave him stranded or the bases loaded and we cnt do shizzle!!!! ahhhh i just wanna go crazy!!!!!!!!!OakLaNdAs4LiFe32 - May 3, 2005
Drinking tonight?
If the A's get shutout for a league leading 5th time (i'm guessing) I'll be drinking tonight....on a tuesday. Yes i will.mrlebowski79 - May 3, 2005

I cannot
I have too much anger in my heart right now. How come when our pitchers screw up they look frustrated, and when our hitters screw up they look complacent and stupid?idub - May 3, 2005
Because
Our hitters know they suck. The pitchers know they can do better.
Ionnes - May 3, 2005
